PART 1 - TREE LOCATION

You have indicated that you are applying to remove a tree that is listed as a Heritage Item. You must submit a Development application for this work. Further information on this can be found here

Councils Planning map can be launched from here. For heritage you must add the Heritage layers to the map using the layers button just below the upper right-hand corner.  You can search your site and the map will show you if the site where the tree is, is within a Heritage Conservation Area.

Show the property address/s, draw all the site buildings, and show the location of the tree/s to be inspected. Trees are to be labelled T1, T2, etc. and listed in the table in PART 6. 

The trees must also be clearly indicated on site with tape or ribbon tied around the trunk, a paint spot on the trunk, or a numbered tag.

Council undertakes a visual assessment of the tree/s from the ground level only. Should the tree/s require detailed inspection of features more than two (2) metres above the ground level or below ground level the applicant is to provide a report prepared by a qualified arborist - minimum Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) Level 5 or equivalent – such as an Aerial Assessment, Tree Health Assessment or Root Mapping Report.

Council will not make appointments with multiple parties.

PART 8 – APPLICATION FEES (Non Refundable)

Application Fees are non refundable. Please check your application thoroughly. This application should not be used for public trees.

  • If the information supplied is incomplete, the application may be delayed , further information may be requested, or the application rejected;

  • Council officers will only undertake a visual inspection of the tree from ground level;

  • Council officers may undertake a review of previous applications and may or may not uphold previous determinations related to the tree/s to which this application involves.
